Radio Bimshire

The National Library Service of Barbados launched Radio Bimshire, an innovative digital cultural radio stream and podcast platform. Its mission is to archive and distribute Barbadian oral heritage, which ranges from folklore and family traditions to comments on emancipation and village life, while also conserving voices and narratives that are frequently disregarded in traditional media. It’s a sound library of Barbadian legacy, with a distinct mix of oral history, literature, and folk music.
